Shipping policy

DELIVERY CHARGES

Delivery is offered FREE to all UK Mainland addresses on orders over £20.

Otherwise, we charge a £3.45 discounted rate for single book orders and a flat rate of £3.95 on all orders of more than one book up to £20.

We currently only offer delivery to UK Mainland addresses. We hope to expand into further territories soon, so watch this space. If you subscribe to our mailing list, you will be the first to hear about any changes to our postal zones.

In a very few cases (such as single book orders) the postage charged might be more than the amount charged to us by the couriers. In other cases, it could be less, particularly in the case of heavier orders. But we will never charge you more than £3.95 and all orders over £20 are posted free of charge.

Our simple, one for all, postage price also covers the costs of any packing materials to protect your books.

 

DELIVERY TIMES & COURIERS

We currently use Royal Mail, DPD and Evri, depending on the size of the order. Most of our orders are tracked and/or signed for. We will inform you of this information when your order is despatched.

We aim to process, package and despatch most of our orders within 24 hours Monday-Friday. We are a small family run business and currently don’t process orders at our Gobbledy HQ at the weekends or Bank Holidays, so please allow for this. In busier periods, our despatch times could be up to 48 hours from ordering.

We will email you when your order has been despatched. Make sure to check your Junk Folder if you cannot find our correspondence. Please allow around 3 working days in normal circumstances for your books to be delivered after despatch.

If there is any specific issue with your order we will always try to email you.

 

PACKAGING POLICY

Our delivery prices, including free delivery, always includes postage and packaging. At Gobbledy Books we employ a sustainable packaging practice as much as we can. To this end, we always re-use any cardboard boxes we have received, any plastic packing materials we have received and any other materials to protect your order. We don’t use single use plastics, unless they are recycled by us or insisted on by our couriers as part of their service.

We do buy in our own bespoke cardboard boxes, in order to minimise our postage costs and most orders will arrive in these. Where recycled materials are used, please be assured we will make your order well protected and as attractive as possible.
