Parents Book Fair Help
Virtual Book Fair - Parents Info Sheet
Our online book fairs aim to get your children reading more, by offering them a great range of popular and affordable books, as well as earning FREE BOOKS for their school or nursery.
All books on our website are brand new and most are just £2.50 each, whether it’s a £4.99 RRP activity book or £9.99 RRP gift book.
You can order as many or as few as you like, with no postage to pay.
Our book fairs create a great buzz and are positive experiences for -
YOUR CHILDREN - by reading more they will improve their confidence, literacy and academic skills. We sell everything from your favourite branded sticker books, classic picture flats or educational books to accelerate learning.
PARENTS - will have access to over 1000 great books for their children, as most of the books are one simple price with no postage costs.
YOUR SCHOOL/NURSERY - the fair provides a great event for children, parents and staff to buy, plus by buying you’ll be supporting the school or nursery as it gets FREE BOOKS to boost their library stock or to use as valuable teaching resources.
So how does the virtual book fair work?
You’ll be notified just before your book fair begins with the date of your virtual school fair and a special code for the FREE DELIVERY. Your fair will usually run for 7 or 10 days. Parents, children and staff will have the whole week and the weekend (or 2) to make their selections from the website.
Most of our new books are just £2.50 each. You can buy as many or as few as you like.
Parents will need to put in their pupil’s name/class and the school/nursery address and postcode in the delivery section when they get to the checkout. Then they should enter the special CODE provided by the school/nursery at the checkout. The code will trigger the FREE POSTAGE for their order.
For every 5 books ordered during the fair, we will donate 1 free book of your choice to the school/nursery. The more books you buy, the more free books we donate.
Within a few days of the fair ending, the books will be delivered to your school or nursery. Each child’s book order will be individually wrapped, with their name/class on and will be handed out by their teachers or staff for the children to enjoy.
Q&A - Parents
Who are you?
Gobbledy Books is an independent children’s bookshop, founded from a wholesale business with over 25 years experience in the book trade. Our large range of popular titles covers everything from popular picture books, chapter books, non-fiction, study guides and more.
How do I buy the books again?
Go to Gobbledybooks.co.uk and make your selections from 1000+ titles on offer. Remember you have the whole week to make your book purchases. You can make as many book orders in the week as you like, you’ll still get FREE POSTAGE.
I’m putting in the school postcode at the checkout, but my FREE POSTAGE isn’t showing.
This is most likely because the school or nursery postcode has been entered incorrectly or the wrong postcode is being used. Check the fair details we sent you, where you will see the exact postcode to enter and further instructions on how to enter the information at the checkout.
Another possibility is that you’ve started before the fair has started. Just keep all your books in the basket and check back again during the week of the fair, when you should then get the free postage.
Do I have to buy 5 books to get a free one for my school/nursery?
No you don’t, they all count. Every £2.50 book sold will be recorded during the fair and amount of free books will be calculated from the final total figure. You can buy 1 book or 100 books - every book bought helps. The more books everyone buys, the more free books we will donate.
Can I place more orders when the fair is finished?
Yes you can! Our children’s books are great value all year round and we are expanding our range all the time. If you want to join our mailing list, you’ll also have access to our exclusive subscriber offers and discounts.
