I absolutely love Martin Jenkins’ children’s books and, of course, Hannah Tolson’s beautiful illustrations.
They perfectly capture the childhood wonder of nature, that we have all experienced at some time, in our own early years. Plus, they educate so effortlessly on the themes of conservation and the preservation of the environment. All in a straightforward and illuminating way. His books remind me of vintage children’s textbooks, which is unsurprising really, as they are already modern classics themselves.
